Just picked up a shiny new 2023 CR-V Hybrid with AWD and I'm loving it! But I'm a bit confused about maintenance.

How often should I be taking this thing in for service? And what kind of damage am I looking at for each visit? The finance guy at the dealership told me I could probably skip most of the scheduled maintenance, but I'm not so sure about that.

Anyone else have a new CR-V? What's your experience been like?

You can check your manual. Usually it's every 10k or 6 months whichever comes first. Don't forget to align and rotate your tires every 8k-10k miles.

For maintenance, Honda generally recommends oil changes every 10,000 miles or once a year for hybrids, but check your owner’s manual for specifics. The AWD system might need a rear differential fluid change every 30,000 miles too. Congrats on the car. It is a good choice.

Sorry for not being on the topic, but why do you say it is a good choice?

I will give you three reasons:
1. Great balance of fuel efficiency, reliability, and practicality;
2. The AWD version is perfect in different weather conditions, especially for off-road use;
3. We talk about Honda. They have a strong track record for longevity and low maintenance costs.
I hope I answered your question as expected.

Your owner's manual outlines the recommended maintenance schedule. I strongly suggest following it and having your dealer perform a thorough inspection.
