I've got this annoying restraint indicator light popping up on my Mach-E. It's been doing it on and off for a month now, sometimes driver's side, sometimes backseat. Checked the seatbelt connections, nothing obvious. It's really starting to bug me. Any tips before I drag my car to the dealer?

I had a similar problem before, and after multiple trips to the dealership, they confirmed it as a pinched cable on the driver's side. I've had no further problems since they replaced the cable.

Been there, done that! Turned out the passenger seat belt receiver harness wasn’t plugged in all the way. Easy fix!

You might want to try resetting the car's system or disconnecting and reconnecting the battery to see if it clears the error. If that doesn’t help, it might be a sensor issue, so a trip to the dealer could be necessary.
