I'm having trouble with my 12V battery. It keeps dropping below 75% and I'm worried about affecting updates. Anyone know the ideal SOC for receiving updates?

Also, I'm wondering if leaving the car running in the garage with an L2 charger plugged in will fully charge both the 12V and the main battery. Tips would be great!

Battery needs for updates can vary - some are more demanding than others. Typically, aiming for 80% charge is a good rule of thumb. However, if your battery is worn out, 80% might not be enough. The exact need can vary depending on how your battery’s doing.

For your second question: Yup, it can take over 12 hours to fully charge the 12V battery. Just plugging it in won’t cut it - you’ll need to keep the car running.

low 12V battery problems are a common EV headache! First off, a healthy 12V is crucial for software updates and keeping it above 80% is generally a good idea. As for leaving it plugged in and "running" (more like "ready" in EV terms), it should top off both the main pack and the 12V but it depends on the car's specific charging logic. Some EVs prioritize the main battery, and the 12V might get neglected. To be safe, you might want to try a dedicated 12V battery charger every now and then, or check if your car has a setting to prioritize 12V charging. And remember, excessive "running" in the garage can waste energy, so keep an eye on your main battery SOC too!

Ugh, what a hassle. Looks like I’ll be spending my entire day driving around aimlesly just to get the 12V battery to the right levell. I had the car on the charger to recharge after driving it around to reach 70%, but now my HVB is at 80% and the 12V is still only at 76%. So frustrating
