How can I connect a dash cam to my Mustang Mach-E?

Hey all, Dharam here again,

I spent some time this morning exploring dash cams and trying to choose the right connectivity option. USB seems easy but messy and doesn’t allow for parking mode features. OBD looks promising....ummmm but I’ve found conflicting info about its compatibility with the Mustang Mach-E (MME). I noticed the Ford dash cam has both EV and non-EV OBD cables, but the EV one says it’s “not compatible with the MME.”

Has anyone successfully connected a dash cam using an OBD cable in the MME? and which cable and dash cam did you use?

Interesting post! I am really interested in the replies of it because I am thinking about a dash cam in the future, too. But first I have to wait for my car to come, haha!

FitcamX I think is the best. Feels like it's built for the Mach-E.

I had an OBD to USB adapter from my old car and tried it on my MME, but it kept cutting power after about 20 minutes. Got frustrated and hardwired it to the fuse box for my Thinkware U1000, now it’s running perfectly!
