I’m torn between taking my Mach-E to the dealer for service or hitting up an independent shop. I've had my share of dealer drama with sky-high prices, but I’m also a bit nervous about voiding the warranty if I go off the beaten path. Got any suggestions on where I should get this done?

Dealers are great for warranty-related work since they're trained on EV-specific issues. They know their stuff so they want payment for the knowledge and experience for it. But for general maintenance like tire rotations or cabin air filter changes, independent shops can save you a good chunk of cash. Just the small and simple maintenance are fine. Just make sure the shop has experience with EVs and uses OEM parts if it’s something that might affect the warranty. You could also ask the dealer for a breakdown of costs first, it’s surprising how much negotiating you can do!
