Hey all, I want to share something real quick.

when I brought in my Mach-E for what I expected to be routine warranty work, I was surprised to find out there were no available appointments for almost two months. It turns out there’s only one EV technician servicing three dealerships in the area, and the next closest dealerships are more than 2 hours away. By the time my appointment finally came around, I was already 8,000 miles past my warranty.

Now here is the issue, the dealership tells me I have to pay full price for the repairs because my warranty has expired. It feels so unfair, especially since I had tried to get it serviced earlier but couldn’t due to their scheduling. The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating, it makes you feel like you're left out to dry when things go wrong, and the company isn’t stepping up to take responsibility. :(

Have you tried to schedule a maintenance appointment before the warranty expiration? If this is the case, I find it unacceptable. Like for real, car companies can check the car's mileage and the appointment scheduling date remotely. They can verify if the appointment was really attempted before.

I agree with @Jumbo_13. If you can prove that you tried to schedule the appointment before the expiration, the dealership should definitely work with you. Also, reach out to Ford customer service directly and explain the situation. They might be able to help escalate the issue, especially since it seems like an availability problem on their end.
