Mysterious U code before windshield replacement

During a scan, a U code popped up, and the shop couldn’t identify it. They recommended visiting the dealer before replacing my windshield.

Has anyone encountered this type of U code before? Curious if it’s common or linked to specific systems.

It’s a communication error code, usually between car systems. Looks like it’s not super common.

I had mine replaced by Safelite on my Mach-E. The windshield came from an unknown brand, but it worked fine. Although the dealer still needed to calibrate the camera, there were no issues getting it done.
