SSM 52130 addresses a potential issue in 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles where the off-board charger controller module (OBCC) may contain the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1A3C. This code is frequently generated due to interruptions during the DC fast charging process and can be safely ignored.

If the DC charging session is terminated through any means other than pressing the vehicle's unlock button, or if the session fails, the P1A3C code may appear in the OBCC. This is not cause for concern and can be overlooked.

For any other DTCs stored in the OBCC, please see the relevant publications and/or the standard diagnostic procedures outlined in Workshop Manual, Section 414-03B.

Thanks for the info. I was getting this P1A3C code, but it turns out it's nothing to worry about. You're right, it can happen if you stop a DC charging session using any method other than the unlock button or if the session fails. It's just a little quirk in the system, so I guess we can all breathe a sigh of relief!
