Hmmmm... this is super strange. My wife plugged in her car last night around 8 PM like normal. But then, the car only charged like 4% over seven hours! Our energy monitor says we used the expected amount of electricity, so it's like the car was just sitting there doing nothing. Then, around 4 AM, I unplugged and plugged it back in, and it charged normally. Anyone else had this happen? Any ideas what could be going on? I'm baffled!

To be honest, I've found the FordPass app to be a bit unreliable. If you have a separate energy monitor, why even bother checking the charging data in the app? It doesn't actually connect to the car and just uses estimates from Ford's servers.
If you're really serious about tracking how much energy your car is using, I'd trust the readings from your energy monitor, especially if it measures the actual electricity flow.

Let's face it, 120V charging isn't the most efficient. A lot of energy is wasted during the conversion process. If you're really concerned about saving money on electricity, installing a 240V home charger is the best option.
