Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep my 12V battery topped off for those pesky OTA updates. I've been going on little "battery boost" drives to keep it around 80%, but that's a pain. Anyone know the ideal 12V SOC for updates? Also, will leaving my car running in the garage with the L2 charger plugged in fully charge both the 12V and the main battery?

I'd charge 80% or more for installation. However, if your battery's capacity is depleted, 80% may not be enough. The exact threshold varies according to the battery's age and condition.

It really varies depending on the update. Some updates, like versions 6.6.0 and 6.8.0, require a higher 12-volt battery charge to install correctly. I'd recommend making sure your 12-volt battery is charged to at least 80% before attempting to install those updates.

Even 80% might not be enough if your 12-volt battery is getting old and has lost some of its charge. The exact amount of charge needed can differ from car to car, depending on the condition of your battery.
