Hey guys! Anyone else having trouble with static or dropped calls on Apple CarPlay? It’s been really frustrating for me lately. It’s odd because calls come through perfectly when I switch to my phone speaker, so I’m leaning away from thinking it’s a phone issue. Anyone have any insights or solutions for this?

I had a similar issue with my CarPlay, and it turned out to be something simple, my USB cable was a little worn out. Swapping it for a fresh, high-quality cable fixed it right away. If you’re using wireless CarPlay, try reconnecting or updating the firmware for both your phone and the car.

To address static or dropped calls on Apple CarPlay, ensure a stable connection and troubleshoot potential issues with your phone, car's infotainment system, and the USB cable.

I found the latest troubleshooting steps:

Update iOS and car's infotainment system software: Outdated software can cause compatibility issues.
Reset network settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to resolve potential network issues.
Check for interference: Wireless interference from nearby devices or power lines can affect CarPlay connections.
Check audio settings: Ensure the audio is set to play through the car's speakers.
Ensure Siri is enabled: Siri is required for some CarPlay features.
Check call audio routing: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing to make sure it's set to automatic

I hope that helps!

I don't have any related issues, but this is good to be saved. You will never know when you need it. I bookmarked it.
