I went to two different Ford dealers for my 30,000-mile service, and both experiences were a mess!

First dealer: Took my call, promised a follow-up, never got one, even after multiple calls.

Second dealer: Not EV-certified but said they could rotate the tires. Turns out they only inflated them too much and called it a day.

Checked my tire pressure after getting home: Three at 49 PSI, one at 50, way too high as I remember from stock.

Why is it so difficult to get basic maintenance done for an EV at a Ford dealership?

I feel your pain! That's a classic case of dealerships just not being up to speed with EVs yet. It's like they're still stuck in the gas-powered era and they're just not trained or equipped to handle the Mach-E. Honestly, it's a huge problem, and it's frustrating as hell. It sounds like you need to find a dealer that's actually EV-certified or maybe even an independent shop that specializes in EVs. Word of mouth is your best bet so ask around in local Mach-E groups or online forums to see where other owners are getting good service. It's ridiculous that basic maintenance is such a headache, but until Ford gets their dealers trained up, we're stuck hunting for the good ones.

That's crazy! I’d say look for an EV-specific shop or at least one with a solid rep for handling EVs properly. It's super annoying that you're the one having to figure this out when it really should be standard by now!

It’s wild that dealerships are still behind the curve with EV maintenance, especially with something like tire pressure being such a basic thing. Definitely look for an EV-certified dealer or a specialist who knows what they're doing. It shouldn't be this hard to get simple stuff taken care of! It’s honestly a wonder they’re still so unprepared for EVs.
